Painting is, for me, an important spiritual practice. I seek to express the essence of what lies within the overtly visible. In this quest, I find myself turning to such archetypes and symbols as Buddha, Butterflies, Sun, Moon, Hindu Goddesses, and Clowns, all of which guide me to a place of pure and vital energy where anything is possible.
From this point on, I witness and welcome serendipity, trying to find a place of resonance between colors, shapes and inner truth. Ideas turn into images which keep changing as my thoughts change. This constant transformation of ideas into forms and forms into ideas, through the dynamic exchange between paint, brush and gestures, renders the invisible, visible. It reveals the ever-changing nature of things. I endeavor to capture the wonder of this transformative potential of images on canvas and the manifestation of the breath of life.
